Baskoure Solidarity Association Enhances Educational Resources at Renga Primary School

Ouagadougou: The Baskoure Solidarity Association (ASB), a France-based organization with a branch in Burkina Faso, has made a significant donation to the Renga public primary school.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on November 3, 2025, ASB donated three desktop computers, six tablets, a set of jerseys, and a ball to the students. The association also undertook renovations of the school's kitchen.

The donation event was attended by the teaching staff, members of ASB, and the beneficiary students. Student Dina Daouega expressed gratitude on behalf of her classmates, thanking ASB for their consistent support in improving the students' learning conditions. Dina noted that ASB's contributions have positively impacted their performance in the Primary School Certificate and entry into sixth grade.

Amadou Zembende, the headmaster of Renga's public primary school, welcomed the donations, emphasizing their importance for educational activities. He highlighted that the new equipment would align with educational policies that support the introduction of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) from primary education onwards.

The president of the parents' association, Aime Koudougou, also expressed appreciation but highlighted additional needs, such as latrines for students and toys for kindergarten children. Koudougou urged further support to address these gaps.

Between 2021 and 2025, ASB has consistently supported Renga school, including the installation of solar lamps. Tahirou Thiombiano, representing the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Baskoure, praised the solidarity shown by ASB. He mentioned plans for an equipped computer room and a water pumping system for a school vegetable garden.

Antoinette Sandwidi, president of ASB, acknowledged the charity cross-country race organized by the Digoin school complex in France as the catalyst for the project, expressing gratitude towards the participants for their generosity. ASB's support extends beyond the recent donation; on September 27, 2025, they provided complete school kits to over 600 students across several neighborhoods to support families at the start of the school year.
