Bougouriba/Bondigui: PDS Focuses on Civic Responsibility and Promotion of Local Products

Bougouriba: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Bondigui, Patrick Bedel Bassi¨re, presided over the traditional monthly ceremony of raising the national colors at the district police station, emphasizing civic duty, patriotism, and citizen responsibility.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Bassi¨re delivered a message focused on civic values, aligning with the message from the President of Faso, Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traore, for the third edition of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JEPPC). He encouraged the population to promote local products, underlining the importance of making this a sustainable practice to support the national economy and strengthen economic sovereignty.

The PDS also urged employees and stakeholders in the municipality to meet their tax obligations, highlighting the significance of setting an example in tax compliance and commending the efforts of some taxpayers. Mr. Bassi¨re emphasized that increased mobilization of internal resources is vital for driving the sustainable development of local authorities.

He expressed gratitude to public employees for their commitment and dedication to serving the people. He acknowledged the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) for their contributions to securing the commune, noting the improvement in the security situation due to their presence and actions.

Mr. Bassi¨re praised the strong turnout at the ceremony, viewing it as an opportunity to strengthen social cohesion and promote republican values. He concluded by encouraging people to maintain their civic and patriotic engagement as a foundation for the harmonious and united development of Bondigui.
