A delegation from the village of Belga led by Ousmane Korgo handed over on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Boulsa the sum of 500,000 FCFA for the peace effort to the High Commissioner of the province and President of the Provincial Council for Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation (COPROSUR) of the Namentenga Adama Conseiga.

According to the head of the delegation of the village of Belga, Ousmane Korgo, they came on the one hand to transmit the contribution of the village to the peace effort, a sum worth 500,000 FCFA and on the other hand, submit the grievances of the village related in particular to the difficult security situation and to the humanitarian assistance of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

“The entire population of Belga through this delegation would like to respond in its own way to the call for the peace effort launched by the president of the transition. As such, the population was able to mobilize a sum of 500,000 francs,” he said.

"The population also asks us to point out that the village has mobilized young volunteers for the defense of the homeland (VDP) and that they are waiting to be trained", also indicated Ousmane Korgo.

In addition, the population wishes humanitarian assistance to the many IDPs who, according to them, have been registered but have not yet benefited from any assistance, continued the head of the delegation to the High Commissioner.

For his part, the High Commissioner welcomed the initiative and congratulated the village thanked on behalf of the government. He encouraged the population in their dynamics.

The High Commissioner appreciated at its fair value the initiative to recruit VDPs and to ask for their training, but he informed the populations that a prerequisite is essential, even capital, in the training and equipment of the recruited VDPs.
