Bourasso Basic Education District Sets Plans for 2025-2026 School Year

Koosin: The Head of the Bourasso Basic Education District (CCEB), Malick Sidibe, chaired the first working and planning session for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the working session was an opportunity to assess the administrative return to work, which commenced on schedule on Monday, September 15, 2025. Malick Sidibe emphasized the district's commitment to implementing the state's educational policies, focusing on educational innovations such as introducing English in first-year elementary classes (CE1), gardening, and the school field.

The CEB of Bourasso resumed its usual operations during the 2023-2024 school year, following the relocation of schools A and B to Nouna. With improvements in the security situation, villages have been resettled, allowing eight schools to reopen for the 2025-2026 school year.

The session also saw the participation of Adama Dao, the provincial director of primary and non-formal preschool education of Koosin. His presence was well-received by the CEB teachers, and Dao commended the resilience of the education stakeholders within the CEB.
