Kaya: The Wisdom in Success Association (ASR) presented 120 bicycles on Saturday to the orphans of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in recognition of the sacrifice of their parents who fell for their country.

According to Burkina Information Agency, ASR President Dembl/Simpor Mamouna emphasized that this gesture serves as a tribute to the men and women of duty who gave their lives defending the nation. Beyond its symbolic significance, the donation aims to reassure the children of these fallen heroes that they are not alone. 'These children are the heirs of sacrifice and bravery, and they deserve our attention, support, and love more than ever,' she declared.

In addition to the bicycles, the association donated 20 bags of rice, each weighing 25 kg, to the social services department of the First Military Region. Isma«l Sawadogo, President of the Youth Council for the Development of the Sahel and honorary president of the ceremony, praised ASR's outpouring of solidarity towards the orphans of the nation's heroes. He stated that supporting these children is a duty for all Burkinab¨, as their parents sacrificed themselves for the reconquest of national sovereignty.

He further mentioned that this act of giving, which reflects the love and fraternity of the people towards the wards of the nation, symbolizes the immortality of the martyrs. Mr. Sawadogo, who also coordinates the community of people from Sandbondtenga province, called on the entire population of the area and the country to support these children to fill the void left by their parents and ensure a better future for them.

He expressed his hope that terrorism would end in Burkina Faso by the end of this year. It should be noted that the association initiated this project of collecting and donating bicycles for the benefit of the children of heroes who fell for the Nation in 2024.
