Burkina Faso Initiates Patriotic Immersion Program for Nando Region Graduates

Koudougou: The mandatory patriotic immersion program commenced at the Koudougou municipal high school, marking the start of a month-long training for 6,484 high school graduates from the Nando region. The event was chaired by Adama Jean Yves B©r©, the governor of the region, and brought together young graduates at the municipal high school site.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began with the raising of the national colors to the sound of Ditany¨, the victory anthem. Hyacinthe Yameogo, the representative of the regional director of secondary education, welcomed the governor's presence and emphasized the significance of this initiative in training responsible citizens. He noted that 324 high school graduates are hosted at the Koudougou municipal high school for this 30-day program, which aims to "convey the essence of duty, solidarity, and living together."

An audio message from the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, was broadcast to the participants. The Head of State congratulated the graduates on their success and underscored the importance of this immersion in the context of the ongoing revolution. He stated, "The revolution needs patriotic, honest, and united citizens," and encouraged the young people to understand Burkina Faso's and Africa's history to better comprehend current geopolitics and the issues surrounding the war the country is experiencing.

Captain Ibrahim Traor© cautioned the young graduates against the "war of disinformation" from "imperialists" and the manipulation through media and social networks. He urged them to become ambassadors of patriotism and remain loyal to their homeland. He emphasized, "You must learn the basics of what is called patriotism," noting that the teachings will continue through the FARAFINA Institute to support the young participants.

Governor Adama Jean Yves B©r© reiterated the immersion's objective: to instill "values of civic duty, patriotism, self-sacrifice, and rejection of imperialism" in high school graduates. He stated that this training is vital for forging a "new citizen" who can "understand current global geopolitics" and "effectively support the progressive and popular revolution." He also reassured parents about the reception conditions, affirming that all necessary arrangements have been made for the participants' well-being.

It is noteworthy that the 6,484 graduates are divided into two pools in the Nando region, with the Koudougou pool hosting more than 5,000 residents across multiple sites, and the L©o pool accommodating the remainder.
