Burkina Faso Ministry of War Achieves 92.32% Execution Rate for 2025 Objectives

Ouagadougou: The Minister of State, Minister of War and Patriotic Defense, Major General C©lestin Simpor©, announced that his department has achieved a 92.32% execution rate of its 2025 objectives contract.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Major General C©lestin Simpor© stated that the Ministry of War and Patriotic Defense conducted nearly thirty activities, achieving a completion rate of 92.32%. The performance contract for 2025 includes goals such as strengthening the Defense and Security Forces for territorial reconquest, stabilizing localities, facilitating the return of civilian populations, and providing psychological and psychosocial support to combatants.

The minister highlighted that the war on terror has both visible and invisible impacts on combatants. One of the department's objectives is to ensure that psychologically affected individuals and the families of war victims can lead decent lives akin to any other citizen.

"In terms of reclaiming the territory, we are currently at about 74%, which represents approximately between 400 and 500 villages reclaimed," the minister stated. Major General Simpor© also paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces, the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland, and the people of Burkina Faso for their efforts in fighting terrorism and striving for true sovereignty.
