Koosin: The President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the municipality of Zecco, Etienne Sanglan, officially installed Thomas Bouda as the new headmaster of the Zecco Departmental High School. Bouda, who took office on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, has committed to fostering a school environment rooted in dialogue, rigor, and responsibility to enhance educational quality and the overall school climate.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the appointment of Thomas Bouda marks a significant transition for the Zecco Departmental High School, as he steps in to replace Isidore Douamba, who held the position for eleven months. Douamba expressed his gratitude toward the teaching and administrative staff for their cooperation during his tenure and lauded the students and parents for their support. He extended his congratulations to Bouda, wishing him success in his new role.
Upon assuming his responsibilities, Bouda expressed his gratitude to the educational authorities for their trust in him. He assured the school community of his dedication to improving education quality through open dialogue and responsibility. The provincial director of Secondary Education for Nahouri, Malick Simpor©, alongside Etienne Sanglan, commended Bouda for the confidence placed in him. They advised him to emphasize humility, discipline, and collaboration, while also encouraging cultural and civic activities within the school.
As a reminder, the Zecco Departmental High School was founded in 2001 and currently accommodates around 580 students for the 2025-2026 academic year. These students are spread across 14 classes, with 6 in the upper secondary cycle and 8 in the lower secondary cycle. Thomas Bouda is now the seventh headmaster since the school's inception.
