Ouagadougou: Rapper Kosa Pic, known for his bold artistic productions, has embarked on a two-week patriotic immersion with the goal of fostering positive change. This initiative, which began yesterday, sees the rapper voluntarily participating alongside 24 other cultural figures, including artists, comedians, and cultural journalists, at the Ouagadougou Police Academy.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Kosa Pic, whose real name is Issaka Oudraogo, expressed his commitment to personal and societal improvement in a video posted by the Ministry of Security. “I am proud to be here. I came to train myself physically, mentally, come out strong, and have a positive change,” he stated. The program includes training courses and activities focused on civic duty, patriotism, citizenship, and civic values.

Kosa Pic emphasized the importance of cultural actors engaging in such initiatives, noting, “I came voluntarily and I invite all cultural actors to take the step, to train themselves because there are realities that we do not know.” His participation underscores a sense of duty towards supporting the Fighting Forces, which he now considers a responsibility.

Earlier this month, Kosa Pic faced scrutiny when the Department of Culture ordered the removal of content related to his recent artistic project, which was deemed inappropriate. Despite this, his current involvement in the patriotic immersion marks a significant step in aligning with national values.
