Banfora, The famous phytotherapist Dr. Zéphyrin Dakuyo who died on October 15, 2023 in Abidjan (Côte d'Ivoire), will be buried on Monday, October 23, 2023 in Niangologo (Burkina Faso) , the AIB has learned.

On the night of October 20 to 21, 2023, a procession accompanied the remains of Dr. Zéphyrin Dakuyo to Banfora from Ouagadougou, after his arrival from Abidjan by flight.

The illustrious deceased was welcomed at the Banfora toll post by another larger procession around 10 pm

After a stopover at the deceased's home located in sector 1, the remains were taken to the Banfora CHR morgue around 11:30 pm

The day of Sunday October 22, 2023 is reserved for family meditation.

The burial is planned for Monday October 23, 2023 on his farm in Koutoura, in the commune of Niangoloko, located about forty kilometers from Banfora.

Dr Zéphyrin Dakuyo (68 years old) has worked throughout his life to care for populations using plants.

Several voices, including that of the Burkinabè government, paid him vibrant tribute for the sacrifices made.
