Ouagadougou: A government delegation led by the Minister in charge of Humanitarian Action, Nandy Somé Diallo, offered 122.5 tons of food and basic necessities to populations resettled in localities taken over by the Burkinabè army from the terrorists.The donation includes food but also soap and clothing items and was given to residents of several secure and reoccupied villages in the west by the Minister in charge of Humanitarian Action, Nandy Somé Diallo.'We came to first congratulate these populations for the courage and efforts of resilience which demonstrate that they are attached to their homeland and that they wish to return to live with dignity at home' explained the minister.On behalf of the government, she presented her condolences to the affected families and invited those displaced by the terrorist crisis to voluntarily join the villages reconquered by the fighting forces.'This vision is imprinted at the top of the Burkinabè State and the President of the Transition is committed to it and h e expects real mobilization from everyone for the liberation of the national territory.' she insisted.Since 2023, the armed offensive against terrorist groups has enabled hundreds of thousands of displaced people to be relocated in villages now safe from terrorist attacks.Source: Burkina Information Agency
