The Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Joachinson Kyelem de Tambela, launched Thursday in Tenkodogo, in the Center-East region, the lifting of the 79th promotion of conscripts of the National Service for Development (SND) which should have 2,400 people.
Let’s go for the recruitment of 2,400 conscripts from the National Service for Development throughout the national territory. Among them, 1700 young people, according to the director general of the SND, the intendant colonel-major Mathieu Benao, will go to support the public administration, 600 others will receive training in trades and 100 young people will go to help firefighters in the field. protection.
The launch of the operation, which takes place by drawing lots, was made on June 15, 2023 by the Prime Minister, Me Apollinaire Joachinson Kyelem de Tambela. He maintained that the youth is the nursery of the country.
“If you fight today, it’s so that you live better tomorrow. Development must be done by ourselves, for our country and by the means at our disposal”, he advised before adding: “we must not go elsewhere to look for the means of our development because that distorts the concept of development.
For Me Kyelem, development is not an imitation. “It’s about living not as elsewhere but according to one’s own conceptions,” he said.
According to the governor of the Center-East region, Aboudou Karim Lamizana, the recruitment of volunteer conscripts, an old tradition for decades at the SND, places at the heart of its vocation, the development of culture, civic engagement in the service of the general interest.
For him, the SND is a school of citizenship par excellence that allows people to meet and share values. He invited young people to good behavior from their recruitment and urged them to discipline and mutual respect.
As a reminder, since 1984 to the present day, around 270,000 people have passed through the SND.
