Douala: The Burkina Faso Stallions A' will no longer participate in the Douala Friendly Tournament in Cameroon as part of preparations for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), AIB learned from reliable sources. Morocco has been announced as the new destination for Issa Balbon©'s men, although further details remain undisclosed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the change in venue was revealed after a press conference held yesterday by coach Issa Balbon©. During the conference, Balbon© had initially announced that his team would participate in a friendly tournament in Douala, which was set to include teams from Burkina Faso, Guinea, and Niger.
Following the training camp, the Burkinabe team is scheduled to head to Dar es Salaam in Tanzania for the commencement of the CHAN. Burkina Faso has been drawn in Group B, which comprises five teams, including Tanzania, Mauritania, the Central African Republic, and Madagascar.
