Ouahigouya: Chief Superintendent of Police Kito Yaya Soulama was officially installed as the Regional Director of the National Police (DRPN) for Yaadga on Thursday, April 2. He pledged to serve with loyalty, determination, and a strong sense of duty.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the solemn handover ceremony took place at the DRPN headquarters in Yaadga, Ouahigouya. The event was marked by the presence of the governor of the region, Thomas Yampa, the deputy director general of the National Police, Gerard Tarbangdo, the godmother of the National Police, Rose Sanou, the constituted bodies, and the police hierarchy of Yaadga.
Chief Superintendent Kito Yaya Soulama succeeds Divisional Superintendent Oumar Soulama, who has retired after approximately forty years of service to the nation. During the ceremony, the Deputy Director General of the National Police, Police Controller General Dr. Gerard Tarbangdo, officially installed the new officer with the traditional formula, emphasizing the importance of obeying him for the good of the service and the observance of the laws and regulations of Burkina Faso.
Upon receiving full powers as the new head of police for the four provinces of Yaadga, Chief Superintendent Kito Yaya Soulama expressed his commitment to begin his duties immediately. He acknowledged the responsibilities he now holds and emphasized the importance of actions that contribute to social cohesion, community resilience, and national sovereignty.
Chief Superintendent Soulama further stated his dedication to serving with loyalty and determination, aiming to contribute to the protection of people and the maintenance of order in the region alongside other defense and security forces.
