Ouagadougou: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC), Koubri section, commonly known as the “Waiyans”, provided food support on Saturday to the conscripts of the Compulsory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) based at the Koubri girls’ private high school.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation intended to improve the living conditions of the participants consists in particular of 15 packages of spaghetti of 5 kg, 50 kg of powdered sugar, 25 litres of oil, 25 kg of salt and 24 boxes of Lipton of 25 sachets, in addition to onions and tomatoes. Through this contribution, the CNAVC intends to support those called up to the IPO until the end of their immersion and to demonstrate their commitment to the objectives of this presidential initiative.

The president of the CNAVC of Koubri, Mahamadi Tassembedo, emphasized that this gesture reflects the desire of the citizen watch to remain alongside the youth involved in this experience. ‘We felt it was our duty, as a vigilant citizen, to contribute to our brothers and sisters who have been called up. This donation is certainly modest, but it reflects our solidarity and our commitment to supporting the mandatory patriotic immersion until its completion,’ he said. Mahamadi Tassembedo also invited the active forces of Koubri to maintain this dynamic of solidarity around the conscripts.

The president of the Koubri Special Delegation (PDS) commended the citizen monitoring initiative and expressed his gratitude to its president and all its members. He particularly appreciated the sustained community mobilization as the immersion program draws to a close. For the PDS, this chain of solidarity is an encouraging sign of the commitment of the people of Koubri to support actions aimed at promoting patriotism, civic-mindedness and a sense of civic responsibility.

The mobilization of the various components of the community around the conscripts thus illustrates the collective will to support young people in this immersion and to consolidate the values of solidarity, unity and patriotism.
