CNAVC Houet Thanks Togo for Extradition of Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba

Bobo-dioulasso: The National Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations (CNAVC), Houet section, expressed gratitude to the sister Republic of Togo following the extradition of Paul Henri Sandaogo Damiba to Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the CNAVC Houet section delivered a public statement in Bobo-Dioulasso, where Josphine Oudraogo, the Secretary General, praised what they referred to as "a historic act." The members highlighted that the extradition reflects the strong ties of cooperation, solidarity, and fraternity between Burkina Faso and Togo.

The coordination emphasized that the decision by the Togolese authorities was in response to a Burkinabe judicial request regarding Damiba, who is implicated in several destabilization attempts and other acts outlined in the Burkinabe Penal Code.

The CNAVC viewed this extradition as proof that unity among African nations is achievable with political will and active Pan-Africanism. They urged that such collaboration be a model for strengthening relations between African states, aiming for a united, dignified, and sovereign Africa.

Additionally, the coordination expressed support for Burkina Faso's President, Captain Ibrahim Traor, and his administration, while reiterating their commitment to the Popular Progressive Revolution's ideals. They also recognized the intelligence services and lauded the Burkinab¨ justice system's professionalism in handling the proceedings.

Lastly, the CNAVC Houet urged the Burkinabe people to stay vigilant against destabilization attempts, reaffirming their dedication to national sovereignty and the protection of Burkina Faso's higher interests.
