Cooperation: Burkina Faso and the Islamic Republic of Iran discuss the agreements signed last October

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Burkinabè Abroad Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Burkina Faso Mojtaba Faghihi, exchanged Monday in Ouagadougou, on the implementation of the agreements concluded in October 2023 within the framework of the first joint cooperation commission between Burkina Faso and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In the opinion of the Iranian diplomat, one of the agreements signed concerned the technological department and professional training.

On the subject, we learned from the Iranian ambassador that a Burkinabè delegation was in the Islamic Republic of Iran, for advanced training in the field of automobiles.

Furthermore, scholarships have been launched for the benefit of Burkinabè students, with around thirty files under study, continues the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Another step forward in cooperation, several Burkinabè economic operators and officials are invited to take part in t
he 6th edition of the Iranian exhibition, called ‘IRAN EXPO 2024’ scheduled from April 27 to May 1, 2024 at the Tehran International Exhibition Center (Iran). ).

Generally speaking, we agree with the head of Burkinabe diplomacy and his host that Burkina Faso and the Islamic Republic of Iran maintain excellent bilateral relations, as evidenced by the agreements signed in October 2023 in various areas.

In particular the protection of the environment and natural resources; energy and mining; construction; Social Protection ; the development of higher education, research and innovation; Pharmaceutical industry ; technical and professional training etc.
