CSC: The media house of the North inaugurated in Ouahigouya

The President of the Superior Council of Communication (CSC), Abdoulazize Bamogo inaugurated on Thursday July 20, 2023 in Ouahigouya, the new headquarters of the CSC regional delegation.

After the cities of Bobo-Dioulasso and Fada-N'gourma, it is the turn of the city of Ouahigouya to have its headquarters for the regional delegation of the Superior Council of Communication (CSC).

On July 20, 2023, the president of the CSC, Abdoulazize Bamogo, inaugurated the new headquarters. Built on a space of approximately 1550 m2, the building is in R+1. It has several offices, meeting rooms, a visionary room, stores, toilets and access ramps for people with disabilities. It cost around 340,000,000 FCFA and was entirely financed by the Japanese Embassy in Burkina Faso.

“The goal of building this gem is to bring CSC closer to these media players. For a number of years, we have undertaken to deconcentrate our activities and Ouahigouya is the 3rd capital city of the region which now hosts a regional headquarters of the CSC so that we are closer to media professionals, journalists, advertising actors but also citizens who will want to seize it in the event of a problem "explained the president of the CSC.

According to him, without a quality press, no enlightened citizens, without enlightened citizens, no good governance and no development. This is what the CSC ensures that media content is of good quality. "We are proud to open the doors of a new headquarters in the city of Naaba Kango," said Mr. Bamogo.

However, the building lacks some amenities such as electricity and water connection, lack of fencing, window guards and computer network equipment.

Abdoulazize Bamogo therefore appealed to financial partners for the building to be finalized. But when he heard, he invited media professionals to take ownership of their house, to use it, to come by if necessary to discuss with the provincial representative of the CSC Phillibert Nikiema and to take care of the maintenance of the building.

The inauguration also served as a setting for the president of the CSC and the governor of the Northern region to plant fruit trees in the courtyard of the new headquarters.
