Djanthou School Organizes Hygiene and Patriotism Event in Dalo

Ouagadougou: The Djanthou Public Primary School, located in the Basic Education District of Dalo, organized a flag-raising ceremony and clean-up day as part of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation. The event was presided over by Emmanuel Nana, the head of the basic education district of Dalo, and witnessed significant participation from teachers and students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a unique feature of this event was the traditional k´k´ donda attire worn by teachers and students, symbolizing cultural identity and attachment to indigenous values. This choice of clothing added both patriotic and cultural significance to the ceremony.

The day commenced with the raising of the national flag, followed by an awareness session on "buying local" for endogenous development. This session was attended by all teachers of the CEB, highlighting the educational community's commitment to republican values through civic duty and patriotic spirit.

Emmanuel Nana, head of the Basic Education District of Dalo, emphasized the importance of responsible behaviors to enhance social cohesion and unity. He stated, "Every civic action, however simple, contributes to building a more united, cleaner and more supportive society."

The initiative by the CEB of Dalo aims to instill values of discipline, civic-mindedness, and responsibility in learners, promoting civic participation and national development. The cleanliness day forms part of a broader effort to foster a healthy environment and encourage citizens to recognize their role in Burkina Faso's development.
