The event, which occurred on Friday, brought together the teaching and administrative staff of the municipality, as well as local, military, and paramilitary authorities.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony served as a symbol of solidarity and resilience for the DPEPPENF of Sandbondtenga. Abdoulaye Marc Nabaloum, representing his fellow teachers, praised the achievements of the 2024-2025 school year, attributing successes to the supervisors under the district heads' authority. He acknowledged the challenges posed by the current situation in the municipality but expressed optimism for the coming year.
"Despite the insecurity, the risky journeys and the sometimes precarious conditions, the school has held on thanks to the availability and sense of duty of the supervisors, whose constant presence alongside the teachers constitutes invaluable moral and professional support," Nabaloum stated.
Mamadou Sawadogo, Head of the Basic Education District of Pissila II, echoed similar sentiments, urging teachers to continue their efforts to achieve better results for the communities. He also praised the Defense and Security Forces and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland for their role in the gradual return of peace to the locality.
