Harare: Representatives of the Gnagna province visited Christian worshippers at Saint Andrew's Parish in Bogand© this Sunday during Easter Mass. This visit aimed to demonstrate interfaith solidarity, encourage peaceful coexistence, and call for unity among the population in the face of security challenges.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the administrative and customary authorities, as well as the driving forces of the province, joined the Christian faithful gathered to celebrate the resurrection of Christ. The atmosphere was filled with religious fervor and fraternity.

Speaking at the event, the parish priest, Father Mathieu Ouoba, praised the initiative as a reflection of love and solidarity between different social components. "We welcome constituted bodies whose members are of various religions. This is the whole meaning of living together that we advocate," he said. He expressed his gratitude for the delegation's gesture, emphasizing the importance of living and working together to build a nation of dignified and upright Burkinab¨, before offering blessings to the visitors and the entire population.

The Secretary General of the Gnagna province, Mendien, known as Moussa Soma, delivered a message centered on peace, tolerance, and social cohesion. 'On this Easter day, we have come to express our closeness to you and to send you a message of peace and conviviality. Religion must not divide us,' he affirmed. He urged the population to promote social cohesion and unite to face current challenges, encouraging support for the Defense and Security Forces in the restoration of peace.

This visit by the constituted bodies is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen interreligious dialogue and consolidate peace in the province of Gnagna, amidst security and social challenges.
