Bobo-Dioulasso:The annual Conference of Educational Supervisors (CAEP) in the Guiriko region commenced on September 23, 2026, in Bobo-Dioulasso, gathering 579 participants, including 525 men and 54 women. The event, running until September 26, focuses on the theme "Development and exploitation of integration situations," aimed at enhancing the capabilities of supervisors to better support teachers in implementing new educational orientations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Souleymane Nakanabo, Secretary General of the Guiriko region, officially opened the event for educational supervisors from preschool, primary, and non-formal education sectors. During the ceremony, Nakanabo emphasized the conference's role in strengthening supervisors' capacities, enabling them to convey new teaching methods and guidelines to teachers effectively.

He elaborated that this initiative aligns with the current paradigm shift in the Burkinabe education system, aiming to "endogenize" national education. The goal is to cultivate a generation of children who embrace their culture and traditions while gaining practical knowledge, patriotism, and civic engagement.

Soilliou Karantao, the Regional Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DREPPNF) of Guiriko, stated that the conference will help in "strengthening capacities, harmonizing understandings, and sharing field experiences," enhancing support for teachers in designing and administering relevant integration situations tailored to learners' realities.

Nakanabo also acknowledged the contributions of teaching staff, educational supervisors, and other education system stakeholders to the region's successful performance in the previous session of the Primary School Certificate (CEP), where Guiriko achieved the top national ranking. He urged continued dedication to maintain and build upon these achievements in the future.
