Tenado: Nando's mission officer, Pema Florent Neya, met on Monday in Tenado with the agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) from the communes of Tenado, Kyon, and Zamo, at the end of his tour, AIB observed.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this meeting, marking the end of a tour in the Sangui© province, aims to strengthen the commitment of local stakeholders to achieving food self-sufficiency. The Tenado town hall served as the venue for the final stage of Pema Florent Neya's consultation mission in Sangui©.
Accompanied by his focal point, Nando's mission officer went to galvanize the "soldiers of the land" in the communes of Tenado, Kyon, and Zamo. The objective of this trip was clear: to strengthen consultation with agricultural VDPs and to harmonize efforts around a national ambition: to produce enough to feed local and regional populations.
During the discussions, Mr. Neya emphasized the importance of raising awareness of food security issues and the need for "productive patriotism." The discussions also facilitated the sharing of experiences and best agricultural practices among participants from the three municipalities. "The objective remains unchanged: to produce enough to feed our populations and contribute to the food sovereignty of the AES (Alliance of Sahel States) area," emphasized the project manager.
In addition to the technical aspects of production, the mission also carried a message of mobilization to young people, urging them to invest more in agricultural entrepreneurship as a lever for endogenous development. The meeting concluded in a spirit of determination. The project manager commended the bravery and commitment of those working on the ground, describing their mobilization as exemplary in making food self-sufficiency a tangible reality in Burkina Faso.
