Ouagadougou: The General Manager of Excellence Hotel, Amadi Konf©, presented two racing bikes on Sunday, April 19, to Lamoussa Zoungrana of Burkina Faso, winner of the Yennenga cycling Grand Prix, and to Godwin Grace of Nigeria, best foreign rider of the Yennenga International Women's Tour, AIB observed on site.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Lamoussa Zoungrana gained recognition by winning the Yennenga Grand Prix held in the city of Ouagadougou. Zoungrana also performed admirably in the Yennenga International Women's Tour, securing second place and earning the pink jersey for intermediate sprints.
The Yennenga Women's Tour featured participants from four foreign countries, including Nigeria, which was represented by the promising rider, Godwin Grace. Grace distinguished herself by winning the white jersey as the best young rider of the Tour.
The promoter of Excellence Hotel expressed admiration for these accomplishments and decided to donate the bicycles. 'We know what sport in general, and cycling in particular, brings to our country. Excellence Hotel wanted to make this donation because of the promoter's love for cycling. The group has always supported cycling, and women's cycling in particular, and demonstrated this through this first edition of the Yennenga Women's Tour and the Yennenga Grand Prix,' said Managing Director Amadi Konf©.
Konf© extended gratitude to "the authorities who organised this first edition of the Yennenga Women's Tour" and highlighted that "Excellence Hotel is recognized as a very large partner of sport in general and cycling in particular. The hotel organises its cycling race and last year we organised the 16th edition."
This gesture follows a similar act last October, when the promoter awarded quality bicycles to the winner and runner-up at the end of the 16th edition of the Grand Prix Excellence Hotel.
