Gnagna Baccalaureate 2026: 599 Candidates Begin Exams Under High Commissioner B©ogo’s Supervision


Gnagna: The High Commissioner of the Gnagna province, Jean Baptiste B©ogo, officially commenced the written tests of the 2026 baccalaureate session at the Bogand© Provincial High School. The launch marked the beginning of the exams for the 599 candidates registered in the province.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was attended by administrative, educational, and security authorities, alongside officials from decentralized state structures. High Commissioner B©ogo officially began the tests by opening the first envelope containing the exam papers after routine checks.



Prior to opening the envelopes, High Commissioner B©ogo offered words of encouragement to the candidates, urging them to remain calm and confident during the exams. He expressed hope for a perfect success rate, motivating the students to perform to the best of their abilities.



The Gnagna province has 599 candidates this session, comprising 332 girls and 267 boys. These candidates are distributed across two examination centers in Bogand© and Pi©la, with three juries overseeing the process. The Bogand© center hosts two juries: jury 380 of series A with 159 candidates (101 girls and 58 boys), and jury 381 of series D with 150 candidates (64 girls and 86 boys). The Pi©la center houses jury 382, which includes 290 candidates from series A and D, with 167 girls and 123 boys.



Education officials have ensured that all necessary educational, material, and security measures are in place for the smooth conduct of the exams. Dr. Tiewend© Jean Balima, the provincial director in charge of secondary education, praised the support from administrative authorities and the dedication of education partners, acknowledging the teachers’ efforts in preparing the candidates.



Inside the examination rooms at Bogand© Provincial High School, the candidates appeared determined, understanding the significance of the diploma for their future education. Before departing, High Commissioner B©ogo wished success to all candidates from Gnagna and Burkina Faso, urging all involved to stay committed to ensuring the session’s success.



At the Sirba region level, the total number of candidates for the 2026 baccalaureate session is 601, including two candidates from the province of Komondjari.
