Koudougou:The Governor of the Nando region, Adama Jean Yves Br, has initiated outreach efforts with the customary and religious authorities in Koudougou. This initiative aims to involve these authorities in the mobilization efforts for the upcoming Night of the Popular Progressive Revolution and to seek their blessings for the event's success.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the outreach is part of the preparations for the Night of the RPP, which is scheduled for September 30, 2026. This event marks the fourth anniversary of the Patriotic Movement for Safeguarding and Restoration (MPSR II). Governor Br emphasized that the active participation and support of community leaders are vital to the event's success.
During the meetings, the Governor expressed appreciation for the ongoing commitment of the customary and religious leaders to work alongside the administration. He underscored the importance of their support in mobilizing the public for this significant patriotic celebration.
The delegation, led by Governor Br, visited several key figures, including His Majesty the Lall Naaba, Chief of the Canton of Koudougou, the Auxiliary Bishop of Koudougou, the Chief of the land of Koudougou, the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions of Koudougou, and leaders of the Muslim community. These leaders welcomed the Governor's outreach as a sign of respect and a willingness to maintain dialogue with various societal groups.
Community leaders praised the authorities' efforts and expressed their support for Comrade Captain Ibrahim Traor, President of Burkina Faso, and the government. They assured the Governor of their commitment to backing the initiative and contributing to its success in the Nando region and across Burkina Faso.
Governor Br was accompanied by several officials, including the Head of Mission of the Presidency of Faso to the Nando region, a representative of the High Commissioner of Boulkiemd, the Prefect, President of the special delegation of the commune of Koudougou, the Provincial Director in charge of communication of Boulkiemd, and officials from the Defense and Security Forces.
