Guiriko: CERFI Equips Mothers with Tools for the Islamic Education of Children

Ouagadougou: The Guiriko Regional Coordination of the Center for Islamic Studies, Research and Training (CERFI) launched a regional seminar for sisters on Thursday, May 14, in Bobo-Dioulasso, under the theme: "Educating children in the light of Islamic principles: a guarantee of responsible citizenship." The meeting brought together mothers from several localities in the region to strengthen their capacities on the education of children and their role in consolidating social and religious values.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the coordinator in charge of mobilization and leadership of women at CERFI Guiriko, Ms. Malimata Sanou/Kone, indicated that the chosen theme responds to a major concern in the current context marked by educational and social challenges. The head of the activity, Hadja Mariam Sanou/Konate, welcomed the initiative, believing that "choosing to bring women together around the education of their children is a civic and religious act of great significance."

The seminar emphasized the importance of educating children according to Islamic principles, which Ms. Hadja Mariam Sanou/Konate noted contributes to the fulfillment of religious duty and the building of a responsible society. The event served as a platform for mothers to engage in discussions and share experiences on nurturing their children within an Islamic framework, aiming to instill values that support both religious and social development.
