Ouagadougou: The Youth of the Evangelical Church of the Alpha Mission (JEEMA) inaugurated the 25th edition of their camp at Belle-Ville University in Bobo-Dioulasso. The event, themed “May Your Life Manifest the Glory of God,” is set to run from August 24 to 30, focusing on edifying young participants, strengthening their faith, and fostering community through teachings, fellowship, and worship.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Pastor Job Dao, president of the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions of Houet, emphasized the importance of cultivating exemplary Burkinab¨ youth during the gathering. He urged attendees to become role models in both word and deed, highlighting the need for wisdom among the youth of Burkina Faso.

Victor Emmanuel Sou, president of the Alpha Mission Evangelical Church, praised the youth for organizing the event, which will enable them to explore the theme and reinforce their commitment. “By facilitating this camp, we are providing young people the opportunity to engage and gain valuable teachings that will aid them. It is our duty to support young people’s development through this theme,” he stated.

Michael Pencalomian Bicaba, the national youth president of the Alpha Mission Evangelical Church, noted that the camp aims to help young people balance personal success with divine glory. “To guide each camper to understand the imperative need to have a character that reflects the glory of God in everyday life and to give each camper a clear understanding of their mission, which is ultimately to manifest the glory of God in society. We hope that this camp will truly transform young people,” he explained.

Throughout the seven-day camp, participants will engage in activities focused on spiritual growth, personal development, and strengthening of fraternal bonds. The 25th edition of Camp JEEMA will continue until August 30, 2026, at the University of Belle-Ville in Bobo-Dioulasso.
