Kaya:The Kaya High Court initiated a maracana tournament on Tuesday, themed "Justice and Social Cohesion," to foster communication between the justice system and the public.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, inaugurated with the support of the Dima of Boussouma, His Majesty Naaba Sigri, is designed to create an environment for dialogue and interaction between justice officials and the community.

The chairman of the organizing committee, Prosecutor of Faso at the High Court of Kaya, Thodore BANC, stated that the initiative is intended to bring the judicial system closer to the people and enhance understanding of its functions. He emphasized the importance of making justice more human-centered.

Throughout the tournament, breaks in the matches will serve as opportunities to educate players and spectators on legal matters, promoting a better grasp of the judicial process and the rights and responsibilities of those engaged in legal affairs.

Comrade Banc noted that 28 teams are participating, including a team from the Kaya Detention and Correction Center. He mentioned that this team will play their matches within the detention center.

The opening match concluded with the Justice team defeating Eau Wendkouni 2-1. The tournament matches are hosted at the regional directorate of secondary education, vocational, and technical training grounds in Kouls, Kaya, and will continue until mid-October, providing entertainment for football enthusiasts.
