Ouahigouya:The Provincial Directorate of Water and Forests (DPEF) held its quarterly management meeting, chaired by Lieutenant-Colonel Adama Zanr, on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting gathered all available agents from provincial and departmental services. It served as a platform for exchanging experiences, discussing the functioning of services, and improving results on the ground.

Participants reviewed completed and ongoing activities, examined the results achieved by various departments, and identified difficulties encountered in the field. They also sought solutions to enhance the effectiveness of their interventions. A specific focus was placed on judicial policing in forestry and environmental matters, with a communication session led by Olivier Poda, the Prosecutor of Faso at the TGI of Ouahigouya. This session aimed to build capacity regarding the powers, procedures, and responsibilities of water and forestry agents and their collaboration with the judicial authority.

In his closing remarks, Lieutenant-Colonel Zanr expressed satisfaction with the results achieved. He urged staff to uphold principles of probity, responsibility, and integrity in their duties. He also thanked the Regional Director of Water and Forests in Yaadga for his guidance and the Ouahigouya Prosecutor's Office for sharing expertise with the agents.
