The company Traces theater of Bobo Dioulasso and the theatrical troupe Songni, proceeded on Saturday, May 27, 2023 in Samorogouan, to the launch of the project “Dare to reinvent the theatrical creation”. This ceremony was chaired by the Provincial Director in charge of culture of Kénédougou, Georges Bado.

This project is implemented by Compagnie Traces Théâtre de Bobo and the Songni troupe from Samorogouan, at a total cost of 30 million FCFA.

It was financed by the Cultural and Tourism Development Fund (FDCT) as part of the PAIC project with the financial support of the European Union.

According to the director of the company Traces Théâtre, Moussa Sanou, the realization of this project follows an observation.

“In the Hauts-Bassins region, the level of theater has begun to decline considerably. Otherwise we can say that we are seeing more creations of beautiful invoices. It is therefore time to reinvent this art, ”he said.

Mr. Sanou specified that the objective sought through this project is to train 33 actors in the theater chain.

The Provincial Director in charge of culture of Kénédougou, encouraged and congratulated the promoters of this project for this noble idea.
