Abuja: Members of the ad hoc commission trained on the strategic functions for the development of the PCD The Gounghin town hall, in the Kourittenga province, held a training session from July 23 to 24, 2026, for the benefit of the 25 members of the ad hoc commission, in order to make them aware of the different strategic functions of the Communal Development Plan (PCD) of the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ad hoc commission, comprising a total of 25 members, including elected officials, members of civil society organizations, decentralized technical services, the private sector, community leaders, and many other groups, is set up by the special delegation by decree and its role is to monitor and validate deliverables.

Its mission is to serve as an interface between the special municipal delegation and the drafting committee, to contribute to the collection of additional basic data, to work to facilitate the holding of the various review and validation meetings, and to pre-validate and technically validate draft reports.

The training for this ad hoc commission focused, among other things, on the function of guidance, steering, and coordination of local development, the function of territorializing national sectoral and cross-cutting policies and the function of promoting consultation around local development.

The chairman of the ad hoc commission, Boureima Pilabr©, who is also the head of the environmental department in Gounghin, promised, on behalf of the commission, the commitment, involvement, and determination of the members of the commission to assert its role for the success of its missions.

The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Gounghin, Fran§ois Janvier Lessogo, urged the commission to a synergy of action and complementarity in the work in order to guarantee the success of the process and the quality of the plan that will be drawn up.
