Kourittenga High Commissioner Encourages Troops for SNC 2026 Participation

Kourittenga: The High Commissioner of Kourittenga Province, Moctar Ilboudo, representing the Governor of the Nakambe Region, Yeye Abraham Somdo, presided over the departure ceremony for regional artistic troupes in Bobo-Dioulasso. These troupes are set to participate in the 22nd National Culture Week (SNC), and he urged them to strive for excellence and to proudly represent Nakambe.

According to Burkina Information Agency, approximately one hundred participants from the Nakambe region will showcase their talents across various artistic disciplines at the 22nd edition of the National Culture Week (SNC). In the National Grand Prix of Arts and Letters (GPNAL) competitions for adults, troupes such as Wendpanga, Roguemik Ki¨ta, Songtaaba, Tenko Jazz, Tout Art, and Nabonswende Archange will represent the region.

For the youth pool, Tegawende, Les Heritiers de l'Art, and Nabonswende Troupes will compete in traditional dance, ballet, and traditional instrumental music, respectively. In the culinary arts category, the region will be represented by Carine Kabore, Cherifa Nikiema, and Benewende Ariane Marinta Compaore, each presenting unique culinary creations.

Paul Kabore, head of the Warba troupe from Kalwartenga, expressed confidence in their preparation, emphasizing the love of culture as their primary motive. Yacouba Diakite, the regional director in charge of Culture for Nakambe, shared his optimism about the performances, highlighting the strong representation with 142 participants from Nakambe.

The High Commissioner, Moctar Ilboudo, encouraged the troupes to demonstrate discipline, solidarity, and patriotism, emphasizing their role as ambassadors of Nakambe. He urged them to unleash their creative genius, assuring them of the region's support in their quest for success.
