The High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Aissata Angélina Traoré, chaired, on Tuesday May 14, 2024, in the commune of Tensobtga, Kourittenga province, the day of the sponsored child 2024 edition, of the NGO Plan International Burkina Faso, Center-East office, under the theme: 'Sponsoring a child means contributing to the development of your community'.The ceremony took place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, in the municipality of TensGETGA, in the presence of the various constituent bodies of the province and the population of the said municipality.Strengthening contact and links with sponsored children, their families and their communities with a view to raising their awareness on sponsorship themes or programs including the importance of education, is the objective of the day.It is also to allow communities, through exchanges, to better perceive the type of sponsorship of Plan International and its impact on the lives of children and, above all, to minimize the confusion surrounding it.The High C ommissioner of the Kourittenga province, Aissata Angélina Traoré, welcomed the initiative of Plan International and its various programs that it leads to the happiness of the populations.She reaffirmed the administration's commitment to supporting such an initiative.Ms. Traoré also reassured the population of the credibility of Plan International's sponsorship or programs and invited all stakeholders in the beneficiary municipalities to seize this type of opportunity when they arise.'Sponsorship is the foundation of the organization and it is thanks to this sponsorship that we manage to mobilize funds and be able to carry out projects for the benefit of the populations.
