Land Chief Donseo Dabir© Honored with Medal of Honor in Oronkua

Oronkua: The population of Oronkua celebrated, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Medal of Honor of Local Communities awarded to the land chief, Donseo Dabir©, during a ceremony marked by fervor and solemnity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was attended by the Secretary General of the Ioba province, Andr© Lankoand© representing the High Commissioner, the President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Oronkua commune, Victor Kiswind© Dondyr©, and the Chief of Canton Loro 3 alongside several other administrative, customary, and religious authorities.

It was in a festive yet solemn atmosphere that the traditional chief delivered his welcoming address. The recipient expressed his gratitude to the guests, wishing for the celebration to be a convivial and joyous occasion. Traditional dance troupes from the villages of Kankaniba and Oronkua enlivened the ceremony, immersing the audience in an atmosphere of popular rejoicing and unity.

The community thus demonstrated its appreciation and support for the traditional chief. Visibly moved, the recipient of the Medal of Honor for Local Communities, Donseo Dabir©, declared himself "deeply honored" by this distinction. He thanked the municipal authorities and the government for their efforts in promoting local development and the influence of Burkina Faso.
