Abuja: The Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of Sanaba launched on Thursday, July 23, 2026, the seasonal malaria chemoprevention campaign plus (CPS+) for the benefit of children aged 3 to 59 months in the commune.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the head of the Sanaba CSPS post, Comrade Mohamed Sawadogo, stated that this campaign, which continues until July 26, 2026, includes several components, notably the chemo-prevention of seasonal malaria, screening for malnutrition, identification and destruction of larval habitats, as well as catch-up vaccination.

The intervention targets children aged 3 to 59 months and covers the city of Sanaba and surrounding villages. To reach the maximum number of children, health teams combine two strategies: maintaining fixed posts in health facilities and conducting door-to-door visits.

A resident of Sector 1 in Sanaba, Comrade T©tuan Coulibaly, welcomed this initiative, expressing satisfaction with the mobilization of health teams to protect the children of the commune. He believes that the campaign will contribute to preventing malaria and improving the health of young children. Coulibaly also urged parents to administer the tablets to the children concerned and to facilitate the work of the health workers.

The head of the CSPS post, Mohamed Sawadogo, urged parents to collaborate with the teams deployed in the field so that all targeted children effectively benefit from the various interventions planned as part of this campaign.
