Abuja: The provincial commission for the allocation of plots developed by the Agricultural Resilience and Competitiveness Project (RESI-2P) in the village of Guirgo met on Monday, July 27, under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner of the Boulkiemd© province, Salimata Ouedraogo/Sanou, AIB observed.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this session was held under the banner of consultation and fairness, with the active participation of 17 of the commission's 18 members. Among those present were the Prefect, President of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Sourgou, Inoussa Ouedraogo, the Regional Coordinator of the project, and heads of decentralized technical services. Representatives of farmers' organizations and beneficiaries of the developed lowland also actively participated in the proceedings.

The agenda for this strategic meeting was structured around three main essential points: the presentation of the land parcel plan enabling all stakeholders to agree on the spatial and topographical configuration of the developments, the rigorous examination of the applications for parcels, carried out on the basis of objective and predefined criteria recorded in the specific specifications, and the formal allocation of parcels to eligible producers.

Through this decisive step, the RESI-2P project and the provincial authorities intend to guarantee transparent and efficient management of hydro-agricultural infrastructure, much to the dismay of producers in Guirgo. This dynamic aims to strengthen local production, secure operators, and give new impetus to food security in the province of Boulkiemd©.
