Léraba: Internally displaced people receive food offered by the Muslim community of the province

The provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action in Léraba, Ousmane Ouédraogo, presided over the delivery of food to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) on Monday April 8, 2024 in Sindou. This donation was offered by the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB), provincial section of Léraba.Composed of 02 and a half bags of 100 kg of corn, 05 bags of 03 tines of corn, 08 bags of 50 kg of rice, 12 bags of 25 kg of rice, 10 cooking dishes, 10 bags of clothes for men, women and children and a sum of 80,000 F CFA, this donation was given to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) on Monday April 8, 2024 in Sindou.Chaired by the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action of Léraba, Ousmane Ouédraogo, this gesture received on Friday April 5, 2024, emanates from the Federation of Islamic Associations of Burkina (FAIB), provincial section of Léraba.Some IDPs come from the Mangodara or Wangolo area (Ivory Coast border), others from Kaya and the eastern region of Burkina.For the coordi nator of the FAIB, Issouf Touré, this gesture aims to participate in social cohesion and living together in society.The PDI representative, Dinitiè Sanogo from Wangolo, thanked the donors and the provincial director.Ousmane Ouédraogo thanked the FAIB and promised them that the IDPs from the municipalities who were unable to travel will have their shares.Source: Burkina Information Agency
