Ouagadougou: The provincial directorate in charge of basic education of Loroum, held on Saturday May 18, 2024 in Ouahigouya, the final phase of the sports and cultural competitions, with the victory of the Renovation team on that of Tamsin, by the score of 1 goal to 0.

Started in March 2024, the final of the sporting and cultural activities of internally displaced students from the Loroum province, ended in Ouahigouya on Saturday May 18, 2024, with the victory of the Renovation team over that of Tamsin by the score one goal to zero.

In the field of Culture, different cultural expressions were presented in the categories of dances, sketches and the recital of the troupe from the Gondolgo site, which won first place.

Present in Ouahigouya since January 2022, the basic education districts (CEB) of Titao I, Titao Il and Ouindigui, have been able to reconstitute themselves by the creation of 10 reception sites for the benefit of internally displaced students from Titao to Ouahigouya.

There are more than 6,000
students who continue their normal cycle in these different reception sites.

For the Provincial Director in charge of Primary Education, Mahamadi Koudougou, it is a winning bet.

‘Teaching students without sport and culture remains an education to be perfected. This is why despite the difficult context, we want to organize these competitions,’ declared Mr. Koudougou.

As for the godfather, deputy for the Northern region, Moussa Zango, he said he was satisfied with the children’s services.

‘Through this sponsorship, we have demonstrated our desire to support the education of the children of Loroum,’ said Mr. Zango.
