Mané’s 2027 Budget Prioritizes Infrastructure and Revenue Generation

Sandbondtenga:The Special Municipal Delegation (DSC) of Mané has approved an initial budget of 298,460,106 FCFA for the 2027 financial year. This decision was made during the fourth ordinary session of the year held on Friday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the budget aims to enhance municipal services by focusing on capacity building and providing necessary resources to staff. Investment priorities include improving school and health infrastructure, increasing access to drinking water, and developing the municipal road network.

To boost revenue, the DSC plans to raise public awareness about tax compliance and is considering implementing new taxes. These may include levies on land degradation at artisanal gold mining sites and on stray animals in protected areas. 'Paying the municipal tax is a civic act. We must pay it with enthusiasm,' stated PDS Wendinconté Alain Kiemtoré.

Additionally, the session concluded with the adoption of resolutions to hire three municipal agents. These positions include a civil registry agent, a civil engineering agent, and a driver for the CSPS of Mané-centre.
