Ouagadougou: The municipal executive office of the municipal youth advisory council has been officially established. The municipality of Manni now has its Municipal Executive Bureau (BEC) for the Municipal Youth Advisory Council (CCCJ). The seven members of this body were elected on July 22, 2026, during an election assembly chaired by the Secretary General of the Manni Town Hall, Mr. Coulidiati T. Lazare.
According to Burkina Information Agency, established by decree of the President of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Manni, the Municipal Consultative Youth Council aims to be a framework for consultation, guidance, and coordination of the actions of youth associations, movements, and organizations. Placed under the supervision of the ministry in charge of Youth, it constitutes the municipal branch of the National Consultative Youth Council, with structures also present at the provincial and regional levels.
Following the vote, the young people mandated by their various organizations elected the members of the Municipal Executive Bureau, composed of seven officials aged 15 to 35. The elected officials include President Bourgou Richard from Citizen Watch, Vice-President Bourgou Talata Maxime from ATJDM, General Secretary Lompo Fran§ois from Manni School Association - ASM, Treasurer Sawadogo Sibiri from Bible Group - GB, In charge of information and communication Mano Gis¨le from JEC, Organizer Bourgou Adama from AEMB, and In charge of sustainable development and environmental issues Mano Fabrice from Young Catholic Farmers - JAC.
In accordance with the texts governing the Municipal Youth Advisory Council, the Municipal Executive Bureau has several missions. These include mobilizing young people around major development projects supported by the Government, coordinating and capitalizing on the initiatives of youth associations and movements, promoting citizenship and patriotic commitment, strengthening the partnership and public relations of the Council, and carrying out any mission entrusted by the Minister in charge of Youth.
Following the election, the Secretary General of the Manni Town Hall congratulated the new officials on the trust placed in them by their peers. He urged them to unite all the young people of the municipality around the ideals of cohesion, solidarity, and development, in line with the dynamics of the Popular Progressive Revolution. He also invited them to make the development of the commune of Manni the main indicator of the success of their mandate.
