Ouagadougou: The High Commissioner of the Sourou province, Dsir Badolo, who also serves as the president of the provincial cell of the Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO), paid a visit to the designated site for the upcoming conscripts to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place for their reception.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit was conducted on Sunday, July 26, 2026, and included Secretary General Wendyam Martial Oudraogo, Provincial Director of Secondary Education and Vocational and Technical Training Joseph Karambiri, and several other key figures involved in organizing the second edition of the mandatory patriotic immersion. This inspection aimed to verify that all conditions are set to welcome the conscripts effectively.

"The objective of this visit, carried out on the eve of the arrival of those called up for the mandatory patriotic immersion in 2026, is to ensure that all the conditions are in place for their reception," stated Dsir Badolo. The High Commissioner expressed satisfaction with the progress observed, noting that facilities ranging from dormitories to latrine blocks, as well as catering areas, infrastructure rehabilitation, public lighting, and drinking water supply, are prepared for the 2026 edition of the program.

Badolo commended the dedication and sense of duty exhibited by all stakeholders involved in the preparations. "We must commend and acknowledge that all stakeholders in the relevant ministries fully played their part to ensure we had the best possible conditions to welcome those called up for the mandatory patriotic immersion program in 2026," he added.

He also emphasized the importance of continued mobilization and readiness among sectoral stakeholders, highlighting that the success of the program relies on the coordinated efforts of all participants.
