Mebo: The Regional Education Sector Contributes to the Beautification of Koudougou with Over 8 Million FCFA

Koudougou: Under the impetus of the regional directorate of preschool, primary and non-formal education (DREPPNF), the educational community mobilized around the Faso Mebo initiative this Saturday, with a contribution worth a total of 8,460,000 FCFA.

According to Burkina Information Agency, driven by a dynamic of voluntary solidarity, this mobilization made it possible to gather a contribution worth a total of 8,460,000 FCFA. The donation, officially handed over to the regional authorities, consists of strategic resources for development: construction materials including 280 tons of granite and 80 tons of sand; food support comprising 2 tons of rice, 25 20-liter cans of oil, supplemented by sugar, tea, Nescaf©, and water; and equipment such as protective gloves, 14 wheelbarrows, and 20 shovels for community work.

For Ablass© Rouamba, the Regional Director of Primary, Secondary and Vocational Education (DREPPNF) in Nando, this action goes beyond a simple material donation. It is part of a profound educational and patriotic mission. "We felt it necessary to get involved and contribute to the development of this country," he stated. He emphasized that this collection, carried out without imposing a fixed amount, demonstrates a sincere love for the nation. By actively involving students alongside teachers and administrative staff, the DREPPNF aims for a clear objective: to cultivate solidarity and civic responsibility from a young age.

According to Mr. Rouamba, allowing children to get involved today ensures that "the next generation will be in good hands" with builders who are aware of their responsibilities. The Secretary General of the region, Lucien Guenguer©, accompanied by a member of the Faso Mªbo regional coordination, Pascal Bako, upon receiving this donation, praised an exemplary initiative which places the education sector at the heart of national challenges.

Far from simply handing over equipment, education stakeholders immediately put their words into action by physically participating in the paving work. With this momentum, the educational world of Nando reaffirms that school is not only a place of knowledge, but the cradle of active civic engagement, ready to answer the call of the Nation to build, stone by stone, the Burkina Faso of tomorrow.
