Ouagadougou: The Minister in charge of Labor and Social Protection, Bassolma Bazié, defended the merits and importance of the bill coordinating the social security system, designed by the government of the Transition to substantially improve the living conditions of private and public employees, this Tuesday in Ouagadougou, in front of deputies.Minister of State Bassolma Bazié explained to members of the Parliamentary Committee on General, Institutional Affairs and Human Rights (CAGIDH) that this project will 'continuously improve the living conditions of public and private sector workers as well as the voluntary tax payers,' reported the minister's communications services.'The objective of this bill is to see how to contribute to further limiting the precariousness of agents who have served the country and who are in a situation of rest,' said Minister Bazié, quoted by his communications services.This project excludes from its material scope the old age allowance which is by nature a one-off benefit. L ikewise, the retirement age of the insured person is that of the public social security establishment to which he was last registered. In addition, the bill specifies the organization to which the insured was last responsible is retained as the paying organization in the event of equality of the contribution period.For Minister Bazié, the development of the bill involved the involvement of several institutions through meetings and workshops.At the end of the presentation, the deputies members of the CAGIDH headed by the president of the commission, Lassina Guitti, asked for clarifications before refining the content of the law before the project is submitted to the all of the deputies.Source: Burkina Information Agency
