Mouhoun: The High Commissioner of the Mouhoun Province, Bassouleymane Ouattara, paid a courtesy visit to the municipality of Safan© on Monday, April 6, 2026. This visit follows those to the municipalities of Bondoukuy, Kona, Tch©riba, Douroula, and Ouarkoye, aimed at strengthening ties between the administration and the local population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the delegation of the High Commissioner of the province of Mouhoun, Bassouleymane Ouattara, was welcomed on arrival by the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Safan©, Ali Traor©. He participated in the raising of the colors at Kongoba High School, an act of civic duty during which the provincial authority praised the commitment of the teaching staff in the education of young people.
The High Commissioner and his delegation then paid a courtesy visit to the customary and religious authorities of the commune, including the canton chief, the parish priest of Our Lady of Peace, the grand imam, and the leaders of the evangelical churches. The hosts expressed their blessings and best wishes for success to the delegation.
The visit continued at the prefecture and the territorial gendarmerie brigade where Mr. Ouattara spoke with the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). He paid tribute to them for their commitment to securing the community and urged them to remain vigilant, while insisting on respect for hierarchy and the rules in force.
Bassouleymane Ouattara presided over a meeting for discussions with key stakeholders in the community. The various components expressed their concerns, to which responses were provided by the administrative authorities, reflecting a willingness to provide solutions adapted to local realities.
According to Mr. Ouattara, this tour is part of a dynamic of getting closer to the people, in order to better understand their concerns and to work towards responses in line with national guidelines. The visit concluded with an immersion in the municipal services, allowing the High Commissioner to encourage the staff in the execution of their missions.
This outing mobilized the driving forces of Safan©, who praised the quality of the discussions and the High Commissioner's attentiveness, while hoping for the continuation of such initiatives in the service of local development.
