The Déli Fara Mandi Association, women of Dédougou, celebrated on Saturday May 11, 2024 in Dédougou, the 10th anniversary of its existence under the theme: ' Let us dare to show solidarity to promote peace' . The members of the association mobilized the sum of 200,000 CFA francs as a contribution to the peace effort.The ceremony for the 10 years of existence of the Déli Fara Mandi Association took place on Saturday May 11, 2024 in Dédougou, with as godmother, the general secretary of the Boucle du Mouhoun region, Hadjara Sandrine Kientéga/Ouédraogo.The 48 hours of commemoration aimed to contribute to the preservation of social cohesion and peace through the strengthening of solidarity between host populations and internally displaced people.The president of the association, Nadège Drabo, indicated that this commemoration is a mark of recognition towards past actions, but above all an opportunity to strengthen commitment to the preservation of social cohesion and peace in the beautiful Boucle du Mouhoun region.'For a decade, the association has worked to promote solidarity between host populations and internally displaced people. We have witnessed the challenges our community has faced, the struggles and suffering endured by our forcibly displaced fellow citizens,' Ms. Drabo said.According to her, the association took the initiative to reach out, offer support and promote the integration of these people into our society.Nadège Drabo stressed that as an association, there is a continuing responsibility towards the community and towards the Boucle du Mouhoun region and hence Burkina Faso.'Today, we are proud to see that our efforts have borne fruit. Thanks to our hard work and the generosity of our members and partners, we were able to bring a glimmer of hope to those who needed it,' continued the president of the association.We were able to contribute, she added, to the construction of an environment conducive to reconciliation and peaceful coexistence.
