Nahouri: The residents of the P´ remand and correctional center planted 20 seedlings in the commune of P´ as part of a labor-intensive roadworks initiative led by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Access to Landlocked Areas through the Technical Secretariat for Labor-Intensive Road Works (ST-TRHIMO).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative aims to improve the living environment of the local population while fostering the social reintegration of convicts. It is also part of a broader effort to support presidential initiatives focused on community development.
Following the official launch on August 4, the planting activity involved the collaboration of residents from the P´ remand and correctional facility, prison administration, provincial infrastructure department, special delegation, environmental department, and the judge responsible for the enforcement of sentences. Together, they planted 20 alignment plants, primarily cailcedrats, along the road in front of the P´ town hall on August 12, 2025.
Ultimately, the project envisages the planting of 300 plants in the commune of P´. The Ministry of Infrastructure and Land Reduction, through ST-TRHIMO, is supporting the initiative in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice.
