Namentenga: A communication plan worth more than 2 million CFA francs to promote positive masculinity

Members of the network for the promotion of positive masculinity and positive social gender norms reflected on Tuesday April 2, 2024 in Boulsa on the implementation of an integrated communication plan (ICP), financed by the Ministry in charge of Social Action, for an amount of over 2 million CFA. The meeting was chaired by the representative of the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action and network coordinator, Ms. Odette Woba/Sawadogo.Training of network members in communication techniques, educational talk sessions for schools, learners from training centers, internally displaced persons (IDPs), forum theater performances, radio broadcasts and workshops on community dialogue are, among other activities, the integrated communication plan (ICP).The PIC of positive gender social norms in the province of Namentenga, in the North-Central region is estimated at more than 2 million FCFA according to members of the network.Remember that the concept of positive masculinity is an invitation to men to become resolutely involved in the education, health and well-being of men and the entire family.The members focused on the success of the PIC, the definition of locations, activities, hours and human and material resources to be deployed.The representative of the provincial director in charge of Humanitarian Action and network coordinator, Ms. Odette Woba/Sawadogo, thanked the financial partner for its support in promoting positive masculinity and the members of the network for their commitment.Source: Burkina Information Agency
