National Day of Patriotic Commitment Celebrated in Kindi

Kindi:The commune of Kindi was alive with activity on Thursday, October 8, as it hosted the National Day of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation. The event emphasized the Head of State's message promoting the consumption of Burkinabe products.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Inspectorate of Basic Education and Literacy was the center of this significant gathering, reflecting the community's support for the initiative, which runs from October 2 to 16, 2026. The event attracted a diverse crowd, including students, teachers, directors and heads of departments, along with members of the citizen watch, the Defense and Security Forces, and customary authorities.

The celebration commenced with a military parade by the National Gendarmerie and a solemn flag-raising ceremony, accompanied by schoolchildren singing the national anthem. Yves Ahmed Sanou, president of the special municipal delegation of Kindi, read the official message from the President of Faso, urging all citizens to prioritize local consumption as a matter of national sovereignty.

The message called on civil servants, producers, and all social groups to support products made in Burkina Faso, promoting the idea that each purchase should contribute to national resilience and dignity. Sanou also encouraged the population to reject harmful practices such as fraud and smuggling and invited the youth and diaspora to uphold the values of patriotism and integrity.
