New Chief Medical Officer of Toma Health District Commits to Addressing Challenges

Nayala: The new chief medical officer of the Toma health district, Dr. Sow Constantin, pledged on Thursday to continue the momentum already underway, focusing on rigor, cohesion, and teamwork to meet the challenges facing the district, during the handover ceremony between him and his predecessor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony was presided over by the Secretary General of the Nayala province, Adama Diallo, in the presence of administrative, health, customary and religious authorities, as well as partners and actors in the health system. Mr. Diallo encouraged the new chief medical officer to work in synergy with all stakeholders to consolidate achievements and further improve health services in the province.

The regional health director, Didier Dipama, congratulated the outgoing chief physician for the results achieved and invited stakeholders to support the new leader in his mission. The outgoing chief medical officer, Dr. Arouna Sissao, after two years and eight months at the head of the Toma health district, is called upon to lead the Solenzo health district.

He expressed his gratitude to his colleagues and partners for their commitment. He also highlighted the resilience of healthcare staff and the progress made in providing care within the district. The representative of the health facilities praised the efforts of the outgoing chief medical officer, highlighting the progress made despite a difficult context, including the reopening of several health centers and the improvement of health indicators.
